Who was King Von?

Dayvon Daquan Bennett, commonly known as King Von, was a rapper from Chicago, Illinois, born on August 9, 1994. He had contracts with Empire Distribution and Lil Durk’s record company, Only the Family. While Von’s success may have appeared to come overnight, he developed a strong work ethic while he was incarcerated, starting with getting up early every day to work out and write raps. One was “Crazy Story,” which, according to Chopsquad DJ, started as more of poetry before being rearranged into a song. This became his breakout single.

What Was The Cause of His Demise?

On November 6, a shooting outside a nightclub in Atlanta claimed the life of Chicago rapper King Von.

The shooting occurred following the 26-year-“Welcome old’s to O’Block” record release party, which was a tribute to the South Side neighbourhood near 64th Street and Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, where he grew reared.

That Friday early in the morning, a dispute between rival groups of men “escalated to gunshots” outside Monaco Hookah Lounge. King Von, also known as Dayvon Bennett, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he passed away.

Timothy Leeks, a 22-year-old guy belonging to Savannah, was accused of killing King Von.

What Did King Von’s, Autopsy Reveal?

After his passing, King Von’s autopsy report was widely distributed online and on social media. It claimed that the rapper died from a gunshot wound to his torso. During the gunfight, Mark Blakley was a second victim. The pictures are rather graphic and show the dead man laying on the autopsy table with stitches all over his chest. His tattoos are also visible in the pictures. The rapper’s followers voiced their disdain and labelled the stolen images repulsive.

Rumour has it that King Von’s assassins published the image and details of his autopsy. Even the rapper’s sister expressed her displeasure and referred to the authorities’ incompetence in allowing the images to be leaked.

Last year, the murderer, Timothy Leeks, was released from Fulton County Jail after posting a $100,000 bond. However, fans of King Von did not like his release.

King Von’s Posthumous Release

The late rapper King Von would have turned 28 on Tuesday, August 9. The hip-hop legend’s estate has released a music video for “Get It Done” from his post-mortem release, ‘What It Means to Be King,’ in his honour. OMB Peezy is featured in the song.

It follows earlier posthumous tapes like “Don’t Play That,” “Demon,” “Armed & Dangerous,” “Mine Too,” and “Wayne’s Story.” 20 K Visuals directed it. The “Get It Done” video usually features plenty of flames, strobes, money, and automobile scenes. But, most of the time, it features King Von and OMB Peezy rapping together.
